On eBay you can only search what somebody has already listed — and if you have bought from the same seller nine times, they have no practical way of knowing. Both of those are odd gaps, and this is where they get filled.

Say what you are hunting

Post it and sellers who have one point you at their eBay listing. Nothing is bought or sold here — the sale happens on eBay, with eBay's protection on both sides.

Follow the sellers you buy from

Say who they are, and they can confirm it — which is worth something because they had to agree. Their regulars see a request first.

That question is also one of the reasons I’m building FRANK.

I don’t want AI to replace sellers.

I want AI to take away some of the repetitive work that consumes a seller’s day — identifying, researching, describing and processing products — while keeping the human firmly in control.

Because the most valuable thing AI can potentially give a small business owner isn’t another automatically generated paragraph.

It’s time.

  • Time to source.
  • Time to sell.
  • Time to talk to customers.
  • Time with your family.
  • Time to think.

And sometimes, simply time to stop working.
